“Life of Pi”- is an American 3 D Adventure-Movie based on a novel, with India based characters, and story, written by Canadian Writer,Yann Martel.  The most part of the movie “Life of Pi” has been shot in India.

The  “Best Direction”-Award-  Director Ang Lee

“Life of Pi” Lost the Awards in the following 7 Nominations as detailed below:-

“Best Picture” Award:
Gil Netter, Ang Lee, and David Womark Nominated For the “Best Picture Award”– for ‘Life of Pi’, lost to the Winner of the Award -Ben Areffleck and George Clooney for the Movie- “Argo”.

“Best Writing/Adapted Screenplay”-Award:

David Magee nominated for the “Best Writing/Adapted Screenplay”–  for ‘Life of Pi’, lost to the Winner of  the Award -Chris Terrio for “Argo”.

“Best Music-Original Song”-Award:

Mychael Danna- for Music and Bombay Jayashri- for Lyrics of the Song -“Pi’s Lullaby” in ‘Life of Pi’ nominated for the “Best Music-Original Song”-Award- lost to the Winner of the Award- Adele Adkins and Paul  Epworth for Music and Lyrics for the song- ‘Skyfall’  in the film- ‘Skyfall’.

“Best Sound Editing”- Award:

Eugene Gearty and Philip Stockton  nominated for the “Best Sound Editing”- Award for ‘Life of Pi’- lost to the Winner of the Award-Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers for ‘Skyfall’.

“Best Sound Mixing”-Award:

Ron Bartlett, D. M. Hemphill and Drew Kunin nominated for the “Best Sound Mixing”-Award- for ‘Life of Pi’-  lost to the Winner of   the  Award- Andy Nelson, Mark Paterson and Simon Hayes-for the movie- ‘Les Miserables’. 

“Best Production Design”-Award:

David Gropman (Production Design) and Anna Pinnock (Set Decoration) -nominated for the “Best Production Design”-Award for ‘Life of Pi’ lost to the Winners of the Award-Lincoln Rick Carter (Production Design); Jim Erickson (Set Decoration) -for the movie– ‘Lincoln’.

“Best Film Editing”-Award:

Tim Squyres nominated for the “Best Film Editing”-Award for ‘Life of Pi’-lost to the Winner of the Award-William Goldenberg for -‘Argo.
