Indian Railways Helping Stranded Air Passengers affected by Air India Executive Pilots’ Agitation

Air India Executive Pilots are on agitation from 27th September 2009 and Air India has cancelled many flights.

Indian Railways has announced special trains from Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Bangalore. Also “May I Help You?” counters for assisting the passengers to get Train Reservations to various places from many Airports have started working from 30th September 2009.

Passenger Reservation Counters also will start functioning from all major Airports shortly.

Railways Minister Ms.Mamta Banerjee had asked the Union Minister of State for Shipping Mr.Mukul Roy to arrange a Special Service of the Shipping Corporation of India to bring back the stranded Air Passengers at Port Blair.
