The First President of India:
DR. RAJENDRA PRASAD (1884-1963) was the 1st / First President of India- From 26th January 1950 To To 13th May 1962- Consecutively for 2 Terms
The Second President of India:
DR.SARVAPALLE RADHAKRISHNAN / DR.S.RADHAKRISHNAN (1888-1975)-was the 2nd /Second President of India –From 13th May 1962 To 13th May 1967
The Third President of India:
DR.ZAKIR HUSSAIN (1897-1969) was the 3rd /Third President of India – From 13th May 1967 to 3rd May 1969
The First Temporary President of India:
Mr.VARAHAGIRI VENKATA GIRI / V.V.GIRI -was the 1st /First Acting / Temporary President of India- From 3rd May 1969 To 20th July 1969, for a period of 2 months and 17 days-after the death of Dr. Zahir Hussain in office. He resigned from the post of Acting President on 20th July 1969 for contesting for the post of the President
The Second Temporary President of India:
JUSTICE MOHD. HIDAYATULLAH (1905-1992)- was the 2nd /Second Temporary President of India –From 20th July 1969 to 21st August 1969- After the resignation of Dr.V.V.Giri from the post of Acting President till Dr V.V.Giri took over as the 4th President of India
The Fourth President of India:
DR.VARAHAGIRI VENKATA GIRI /DR.V.V.GIRI ( 1894-1980) -was the 4th /Fourth President of India- From 24th August 1969 to 23rd August 1974
The Fifth President of India:
DR.FAKRUDEEN ALI AHMED (1905-1977)- was the 5th /Fifth President of India- From 24th August 1974 to 11th February 1977
The Third Temporary President of India:
MR.BASAPPA DANAPPA JATTI/ MR.B.D.JATTI ( 1913-2002)-was the 3rd /Third Temporary President of India- from 11th February 1977 to 25th July 1977-after the death of Dr.Fakhrudin Ali Ahmed in office
The Sixth President of India:
MR.NEELAM SANJEEVA REDDY- (1913-1993)-was the 6th /Sixth President of India- from 25th July 1977 to 24th July 1982.
The Seventh President of India:
GIANI ZAIL SINGH (1916-1994)- was the 7th / Seventh President of India –from 25th July 1982 to 24th July 1987
The Eighth President of India:
DR.R.VENKATARAMAN (1910-2009)- was the 8th /Eighth President of India – from 25th July 1987 to 24th July 1992
The Ninth President of India:
DR.SHANKER DAYLA SHARMA (1918-1999)– was the 9th / Ninth President of India -from 25th July 1992 to 24th July 1997
The Tenth President of India:
DR.KOCHERIL RAMAN NARAYANAN / DR.K.R.NARAYANAN -was the 10th /Tenth President of India- from 25th July 1997 to 24th July 2002
The Eleventh President of India:
DR.AVUL PAKIR JAINULABUDEEN ABDUL KALAM / A.P.J.ABDUL KALAM- was the 11th /Eleventh President of India -from 25th July 2002 to 24th July 2007
The Twelfth President of India:
MRS.PRATHIBA DEV SINGH PATIL -(Born on 19th December 1934- aged 82 years) – was the 12th /Twelfth President of India- from 25th July 2007 to 24th July 2012
The Thirteenth President of India:
MR.PRANAB MUKHERJEE- (Born on 11th December 1935- 81 years) was the 13th / Thirteenth President of India -from 25th July 2012 to 25th July 2017
The Fourteenth President of India:
Mr.RAM NATH KOVIND (Born on 1st October 1945- 71 years) has taken charge as the 14th / Fourteenth and the present President of India on 27th July 2017

THE greatest President ever I think would be Dr. Rajendra Prasad, not because he was the 1st or the longest serving, but in every respect he was a true statesman, serving as a role model for future leaders. Next would be THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, one of the greatest scientific minds the world has seen. Next comes our nation’s greatest educator Dr. S. Radhakrishan, no explanation required, everyone knows his legendary contributions to India. Worst I think are Zail Singh & Pratibha Patil.
