The Indian Parliament Congratulated Sachin for his “Double Century in One Day Cricket”

In the four decades’ history of “One-Day Cricket”, Sachin Tendulkar has become the first ever cricket player to score a “Double-Century” by his “200-Not Out” in the ‘Gwalior One day International against South Africa, on 24th February 2010.

The Indian Lok Sabha, on 25th February 2010, congratulated Sachin Tendulkar for creating history in Cricket.The Lok Sabh Speaker Ms. Meira Kumar told that the unique achievement of Sachin Tendulkar is a matter of national pride. She also congratulated the Indian Cricket Team for its “tremendous performance”.Sachin Tendulkar is the highest scorer in ‘one day cricket. As his latest achievement in Cricket has drawn the attention of the Government of India. So, there are speculations and guesses in the minds of Indian people whether Sachin Tendulkar will be honoured with the country’s highest civilian award- “Bharat Rathna”.
