The ceremony ended exactly at 07 30 pm as scheduled, with the ‘National Anthem’.
Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India administered and governed the ‘oath of office’ and the ‘oath of Secrecy’ to Narendra Damodhardas Modi/Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India. Narendra Modi took the oaths in Hindi and in the name of God
After Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister of India, Ministers in his Cabinet ( 23 Cabinet Ministers, 10 Ministers of State with Independent Charge and 12 Ministers of State – a total of 45 Ministers, were sworn in.
The portfolios allocated to the ministers are as given below.
Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister and he will look after the following portfolios:

- Public-Grievances,
- Pensions,
- The Department of Atomic Energy and
- The Department of Space.
