India expects Tangible Results from Pakistan’s Investigations and Prosecutions in Mumbai Terror Attacks

Mr.S.M.Krishna, the External Affairs Minister of India met his counterpart of Pakistan, Mr.Shah Mahmood Qureshi on 27th September 2009.

In the meeting Mr.Krishna conveyed India’s expectations for ‘tangible results’ in the Pakistan’s investigations and prosecutions into the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks. The further talks with Pakistan will depend upon concrete action taken by the Pakistan Government in the Mumbai Terror Attacks.

The External Minister of Pakistan told that Pakistan had already arrested seven persons in connection with the Mumbai Attacks and the prosecutions against them will commence shortly.

However, Mr.Krishna said India could not be monitoring the further actions of Pakistan in the matter and what is needed is “tangible results” in the matter.
