- become the First Batsman in International Test Cricket to score 50 Test Centuries in the Test Matches. (He took his 50th Test Century on 19th December 2010, in the Test Match between India and South Africa held at the Centurion.)
- played his 175th Test Match- which again is a record- as no other Cricketer has played 175 Test Matches.
- scored his fourth Test century on South African soil.
